18. Buy a new laptop

Again, this one just sort of happened of its own free will...

I've wanted a new laptop for about a year now, but decided to wait until the extended warranty was up on mine before even beginning to look. Then with buying the house, I decided it wasn't the best time for frivolous spending...until my laptop died............during the week of midterms. So after a plethora of cuss words and a near meltdown, I returned my laptop to the store for service, knowing that it would take at LEAST 2 weeks to get it back, and having only 4 days left on my warranty. I was not impressed.

To my surprise, one week later, I get a call saying that they decided to replace my laptop entirely because they couldn't fix it. WOO! Only problem being, I could not find a single laptop at the store that had everything I was looking for. So again, after some cussing, I opted for a store credit and decided to pony up my own dough for a new computer. With the help of my friend back home, (Thanks Jon!) I got a good deal on a really nice Dell Studio. It should arrive next week.

As for the store credit.....well...I got a REALLY nice new camera and external flash :D WIN!
