When I was a kid I used to read all the time but lately all I seem to read are textbooks for school. I rarely make the time to read for pleasure anymore, and decided that that needed to change. My goal is to make the time to read 20 non-school books, which I'm sure will be challenging with my school schedule.
Book #1

Earlier this summer (I forgot to list this earlier) I read The Kite Runner by Khaled Hosseini. Such a great book! A very heartfelt story of two young boys growing up in Soviet occupied Afghanistan. Once I opened the book I couldn't put it down.
Book #2

I just today finished reading The Lost Symbol by Dan Brown. This was a birthday gift from my parents and though it was a really good story, I felt that Angels & Demons was better. What I do like about Dan Brown's writing is that he incorporates lots of historical facts into each of his stories. This book contains a lot of unknown facts about Washington D.C. that I now want to go check out!
