I've been tearing through books lately! Here are the latest 2 I have finished
Book 2 in the Dark Tower Series picks up where The Gungslinger left off, with Roland fulfilling the Man in Black's prophecy and drawing the "three" that he needs in his quest for the Dark Tower. Pretty vague huh? I don't want to ruin any of the story, but this book, again, was better than I had anticipated....now I have to read books 3-7 to see how it all plays out!
After reading The Kite Runner, I decided that I really liked this author's writing and was anxious to read his second book A Thousand Splendid Suns. It's the story of two women drawn together in the midst of the hostile takeover of Afghanistan over the past 20 years. As their country falls around them, they find strength in each other and courage they never knew they had. Really well written and, like The Kite Runner it instantly sucked me in and I couldn't put it down!
